Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Scry Tarot (“Scry Tarot,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Scry Tarot app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

Using Scry Tarot without an account

You can draw cards and read their traditional meanings without signing in. Those readings are stored only on your device and are not sent to us. If you later create an account, readings already on your device are uploaded so they are not lost. Deleting the app removes readings that were never uploaded.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
• Reading data. Once you have an account, the questions you enter, the cards drawn, and the interpretations generated are saved to your account so you can revisit your readings.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary technical information for every request, such as your IP address and the time of the request, so the Service can be operated and secured.

We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking of any kind, and the app contains no third-party tracking software.

How we use your information

• To provide the Service and save your reading history.
• To generate reading interpretations using a third-party AI provider.
• To maintain security and improve the Service.

Third-party services

We share the minimum data necessary with providers that run the Service:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage of your account and readings.
• Anthropic — the question and drawn cards are sent to generate your interpretation. We do not send your name or email.
• Vercel — hosting. Requests to the Service pass through Vercel’s infrastructure and appear in its server logs.
• Google / Apple — sign-in. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising profiling.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and readings until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app, using the “Delete account” button. This permanently removes your profile and all saved readings, and cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, or you can no longer sign in, email support@scrytarot.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Readings are readable only by the account that created them, except where you explicitly choose to share one. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sharing a reading

If you choose to publish a reading, it becomes viewable by anyone with its link. Published readings do not include your name or email. You can make a reading private again at any time.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
