The Hierophant
Upright
tradition · spiritual guidance · convention · institutions · shared values
The Hierophant represents the wisdom carried within established traditions, institutions, and shared belief systems. A teacher, mentor, or formal system may offer genuine guidance now. There is real value in the knowledge passed down through generations.
Reversed
dogma · rebellion · unconventional path · personal belief over doctrine
Conventional wisdom no longer fits, and you are being called to forge your own path. Established institutions may be stifling growth or enforcing outdated dogma. Question the rules — but make sure you understand them before you break them.
